Title: at the urologist
Post by: meteorfun on 2015-10-06 16:26:29
Hey.
Last week I went to a specialist to have my PPP removed.
While he was removing them with laser, I told him about how sensitive is my penis.
He said that I should keep the skin pulled back. After 2 weeks it will stay pulled back. Maybe I have to tape it. He also said that a lot of men do that.
As he is a urologist, he sees many penises.
It was strange, yet interesting to hear it from a specialist, who supports going cut.

Interesting! I've heard some other stories of urologists recommending skinning back.

'PPP' meteor?

skin back, no smegma ... that must be good and nowhere wet and warm for any infection to grow

'PPP' meteor?

Pearly Penile Papules, the little harmless (but sometimes unsightly) bumps on the ridge of your glans.

PPP is certainly not an infection.

And also, dryness and cold does not give you full protection against infections.  Don't buy into nonsense like that :)

After 13 years I finally had them removed. I had quite a lot. No one has ever complained about them, but I hated them.
And well, skinning back won't make them go...maybe they just become smaller, but they still will be there.

Is there any change in sensitivity after you have your ppp removed? Maybe I should ask my urologist...

It didn't change. He also said that having them removed won't affect the sensitivity.
I mean now it feels different..feels much better... the texture, not the sensitivity.

Good to know. For me the corona has generally been the most sensitive part of my glans. I would have been scared that this sort of surgery would have scared the surface resulting in diminished sensitivity. Glad that's not the case. How was the whole experience? Was there any pain? How long did it take to heal?

I have to go back to when I was around 13 or so (60 some years ago) and thought those PPPs were the ugliest thing on my whole body.  Of course I had
no idea what they were, and certainly was not about to ask parents about them.  My family was not one to go to the doctor unless serious.  In fact, I do
not remember ever being taken to a doctor while growing up.
Back to the PPPs....  Sort of thought I can take care of this, or at least try.  So, I took one of those foot/heel sanding blocks and lightly began 'sanding'
those little buggers off my dick.  It did sting some, but not for long.  After a few days of doing a little at a time, I wound up with a 'perfect' glans
and very proud of myself.  It remains perfect, no regrowth of the PPPs. (and that is still a question I never saw answered, Why do they only appear once?)

No pictures of before.  have some recent attached.

I was seeing the urologist like every six months, to track a prostate cancer diagnosis done in 2006.  Never actually saw an MD, usually the same PA, female.
Got so that she would come into the exam room, talk a little about the 'watch it' plan we were(are) doing and then
have me drop the pants.  One time, I think the last visit with her, she was pulling my foreskin back, and then would
watch it slowly slide back over my glans.  She quietly said 'NICE', and that was the end of the exam.  I was
discharged from Urology, and that my primary doctor would be doing the cancer followups.
