What didn't work?

Hi all - new to the forum, but figured I'd start off by asking a somewhat humorous question. In your early experimentation, what didn't work for you? From mildly, to spectacularly.

I can start. When I was in my teens, I tried to use a regular band-aid to keep the foreskin back. However, I left it on for some time, and the adhesive was ... very strong. I learned a valuable lesson, as peeling that sucker of was a most unpleasant experience (sticky end fiercely stuck to the inner foreskin ...).

I reckon this forum didn't exist decades ago, so clearly I didn't have the wisdom of this group to lean on
