News:

A forum for people interested in keeping the foreskin pulled back — be it for fun, for health reasons or anything else: Let's share experience, methods, stories and all that about our pulled back foreskins.

NB. This is not a circumcision support group. While there's no problem with cut guys, this isn't your place to live out your foreskin removal fetish — plenty of forums for that elsewhere.

Other than that: please read the Readme in the readme forum, write an intro... have fun I guess? :)

A couple weekends ago I was at my sister in laws house for the day (they have moved back into our area) and our boys were running around and in and out the pool naked as little boys do, and I noticed my nephews looked circumcised. Its been a good few years since I changed their nappies and bathed my nephews (6 and 7) but I didnt remember them being circumcised so I was rather suprised and asked her when they had been circumcised. She looked at me confused and then said "Oh! No, they aren't circumcised, they both just keep their foreskins back. James (older nephew) started leaving it back about 2 years ago and eventually Kevin started doing it too, so they both are like that all the time now." So I say I see and thats that.

Then the other day talking with my son and he asks me how come his cousins pensises look different to his, so I explain that they arent different they just prefer to keep their foreskins pulled back. He asks why. I say Im not sure. Hes says he wants to do that too, and I reply that if thats what he wants to do that's fine. A couple hours later he, clearly upset and frustrated comes to tell me his skin wont stay back and asks how. I told him Im not sure because I dont have a penis LOL but maybe it just takes practice. I ask my hubby later but he just laughs at me, partly because he finds the idea funny but mostly because he is circumcised and hasnt a clue how foreskins work! LOL.
Its evident my son is still trying to get it right but isnt having much success. I could ask my sister in law how her boys do it but that feels rather awkward. I was hoping you guys, having the right equipment LOL and experience might be able to give me some instructions as to how to keep a foreskin back to pass on to my son?

It's not something he should force, just tell him to pop it back each time before he pees. Tightly whiteys are the best to keep things in place. Keep it natural and as carefree as possible tell him not to focus on it. He's normal, and if he wants to keep it back just do as above pop it back whenever he remembers and eventually it will decide to stay there after being put there and will stay for longer each time.
Just don't make a big thing about it.

That's a cute story, and congratulations for being a curious mom. I wish more moms were like this.
I would not make a big deal out of the topic, to not stress out your son. It's all a matter of preference, and the foreskin in most cases will always tend to roll back to its original position. Having said that, many people like the feeling of having the glans exposed (it may reduce a little the super-sensitivity, helps with smells, can look visually appealing), and the best and simplest initial advice is to just pull the foreskin back every time you remember, and use the underwear to hold it pulled back. I wouldn't encourage the use of any devices or more complex practices on younger kids, as their bodies will still change a lot... From my understanding, if you start pulling back earlier, you are more likely to eventually be able to keep a permanente retraction, and the body will grow up used to that state.

Wow!
This is nice that you take care of your son at this level.

I remember I tried to keep it back when I was around 7 and I wasn't able to. I recommend that you let him know to tell you if something doesn't look right down there.
When I tried keeping my foreskin back sometimes, most of the times my foreskin got swollen quiet a bit.
I had to let it forward.
This was still happening a couple of years ago when my foreskin finally stretched enough that it is now good. (33 now)

There were 2 ways how I was able to keep it back at that time.
Simply pulled back in both ways but in one of them the inner foreskin got turn out and a bigger bunch appeared. This was the one that rolled forward more easily.
The second one when my penis was a bit moist and the foreskin was able to slip on the head. In this way it got stuck right behind the head without the bunch of skin. This was better looking and more comfortable but got swollen almost every time.

I wish you to be able to help him.
I'll try the same if it happens with my son.

Can i ask how old your son is? if the two other boys started at 5, it may be that they have tight foreskins which allow the skin to stay behind the head, as the skin is still growing. Most boys of that age don't normally keep the skin back or even wash it. Your son does he keeps have any trouble pulling it back? If he where to fold it when he does it the next time ( fold the skin when the skin goes forward) that might keep his skin back and train it.

The foreskin does usually return to it's original position in most cases. So the best advice is probably to train it to stay put by pulling it back whenever it slips foreward. This can be a bit time consuming depending on how the penis and foreskin is shaped. It's important to keep check on eventual swelling of the foreskin and it can take a while for the glans to adapt and toughen up as it is not longer protected. It took me weeks to be able to have my foreskin retracted at longer periods without irritation, but it differs alot for all men ☺️
So it can be good to let it rest for a day or two if it becomes to much.

Choice of underwear can help alot, and I would really recommend using "natural" methods such as folding the foreskin inwards (similar to the spoon method described elsewhere on this forum) or just by pulling it back and not try other popular methods with assistance of tape and such.

Also have in mind that there can be some permanent effects of the penis outgrowing the foreskin if it is constantly retracted in early ages, but it is not harmful.

Hi!

At first I would suggest that at first you should check wether their foreskin is too tight.
If not, then start with folding method (spoon method) (for about 3 month).
After that, they could just leave that, or should try to just pull back and leave it bunched up behind the glans (coronal ridge)

Would it be a good idea for your son to simply ask his cousins about it when they are next swimming?

I guess the reason is that meanwhile your boys lost their interest in this marginal dilemma - as they should. ;)

Thank you. This is almost exactly what I told him to do, although I used the words probably and possibly and hopefully a lot more. 😊
