Would 2 of bandaids of the rubbery kind stuck together work?

For applications where the stretchy tape is required, would the smooth plastic bandaids stuck together for length work as a replacement? I imagine it would be difficult to remove, but it should break down after a while. I have concerns about the lack of adhesive near the cotton though. If anyone has tried it (maybe even specifically for the feel cut method) please let me know.
