I've recently been looking into why my retraction efforts are always subpar. I've tried many methods. The spoon method, but my foreskin would react bad. The tape method, but my foreskin would always return forward over the tape. Foreskin retainer from China, but my foreskin is rather abundant and long and would become puffy inside the retaining ring. Whilst searching the Internet I found what I believe may be the issue. I have a rather thick frenular band and it is rather restrictive. When I fully retract my foreskin, the band pulls my head downwards. That lead me into looking into frenectomies and frenuloplasty. I do not want to do a frenular tie on my own because I don't trust myself lol. Does anyone have any experience along these lines?
Have you not tried this link https://pulledback.org/index.php?topic=152.0 (https://pulledback.org/index.php?topic=152.0) there are reems of information
I used to have a problem with my frenulum as well. Mine was too short. Used to, because I had a frenuloplasty done to lengthen my frenulum. I had a short frenulum that didn't allow me to retract my foreskin past my corona. The frenuloplasty, unlike a frenectomy, doesn't remove the fenulum it makes it longer. I can now retract my foreskin past my glans and leave it retracted with the spoon method, I'm a grower and that method works best. If you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them. I will try to post before and after photos as well.
Before frenuloplasty.
After fenuloplasty.
Yeah, I had a short and tight frenulum, and that made for some problems with my retraction. I suspect that doing something with the frenulum might be the solution for the vast majority.
I can highly recommend getting rid of the frenular band. In my experience it works as an elastic band trying to get the foreskin back over the head. Without, there is no force and being denuded 24/7 is no problem. I cut mine with a sharp knife, but tying is another good option. If anyone has tied their frenulum, were you able to retain some sensation there? With the frenuloplasty the loss of sensation at the frenulum was very minimal.
I recently tied my frenulum. It's only been a few days since the tie cut through, and the sensation is already pretty much back to normal.
A couple of months later, how is it now?
And why not to just stretch the frenulum area over the time being retracted more and more up? Most natural method I think and you can go back and let it shrink and get tight again if you want to.
