News:

A forum for people interested in keeping the foreskin pulled back — be it for fun, for health reasons or anything else: Let's share experience, methods, stories and all that about our pulled back foreskins.

NB. This is not a circumcision support group. While there's no problem with cut guys, this isn't your place to live out your foreskin removal fetish — plenty of forums for that elsewhere.

Other than that: please read the Readme in the readme forum, write an intro... have fun I guess? :)

How long does desensitization take?

Hello, I have been pulled back for 3 weeks now and in the first week, I could feel how my glans were losing sensitivity over time. However, during the last two weeks I have not felt the desensitization going along as fast and the glans still feel a bit too sensitive.

What is your experience, did the loss of sensitivity also drop off after the first week?

As far as I remember I had the same. Very soon the skin dried and became thicker. Which made my glans at least bearable to touch. But I suppose a nervous system needs time to recalibrate that not anything simply touching or moving is an alarm signal. That took longer. It is a slower process but for that I cannot exactly say how long it took. It just got slowly (even) better over time. I think that feeling of still a bit too sensitive took a few months or so. But then later it progressed to even a very nicer part of the rest. My glans feeling never went away but is much more in harmony. It is like uhm, not in the way anymore.

In my first attempt at living pulled back in my 20s it definitely felt like ages. It was about two weeks before i could feel like the rubbing wasn't getting in the way of my life.

I've recently tried again now that i'm 30 and what's funny is that since Day 1 it has felt nowhere near as uncomfortable as my previous attempt. I don't know if it is that the desensitisation carried over? Can't be right? it's been at least 6 years since last time.

For me it was quite quickly. The first 2 weeks were difficult, but after about 6 weeks things were better. Now after 18 months I have a nice awareness that my glans are exposed and I can masturbate my head directly without any over sensitivity which is very pleasing.

It has been years since I started going full time retracted, so can't really remember the timescale.
Now, I would say the head has about the same sensitivity as the shaft. The inner foreskin still remains more so as I keep it tucked under.
I think a daily wipe over of surgical spirit on toilet roll after a shower will help the glands and inner foreskin, and speed things up.
It will sting a little for the first couple of times.
But I think you'll feel the benefits quite quickly.

Totally agree with the surgical spirit regime. Works a treat, and as it works its magic you may find you won't need to tuck under anymore. That's what happened here. Well, down there actually😀

I've found everyday sensitivity way less after maybe 3-4 weeks. About six weeks in to consistent retraction and feeling like the new normal is just slightly more sensitive than foreskin over.

Interested to hear abut people using rubbing alcohol - is this just for desensitization?. BenTwilley, do you mean the rubbing alcohol shortened your foreskin when you mentioned not tucking?

No, it didn't shorten it as such, but it thickened it and dried the inner foreskin making the pulled back position more comfortable and natural in the circumstances. I think the flare has increased slightly as well. This also aids the 'stayed back' look.

Awesome, would love to hear more about the process - do you just apply rubbing alcohol? What % strength, and what's your process for it?

Agree £1.79 a bottle in most UK high street discount chemists, the brand I use is 'Care'.
