Pulled back — living with a bare head

I'm interested in whether or not bring pulled back changes people's attitude to being circumcised...

I'd been pulling back off and on for many years (from the age of about, say, 15 or 16), though my foreskin would not stay back on its own. Eventually I made it do so with a glans ring. I'd always thought this would satisfy me - I have always preferred having my glans bare, and prefer it in others also. But eventually I realized it was not going to do so, so almost 10 years ago I made arrangements and had myself circumcised at a private clinic - in and out in a day!

For me, this was entirely the right decision, and I rather wish I'd done it earlier, but it was not easy to find reliable info before the 'net! Also, the increasing number of specialist circumcision clinics has made it much easier. My glans was, of course, used to being uncovered, but not having the rolled-up foreskin makes a huge difference.

I still find it erotic when I meet a guy who is pulled back - knowing that he has made the choice to keep his head bare.

I some times wonder that if after a number of years the idea of being cut is like having the skin back all the time. Some like to have the option, of having the skin go back and thats fine. I think its an individuals choice. I would say the next step is getting cut, so no more rings etc.

I initially started retracting about about age 14 as I seen a few circumcised cocks in high school in the changing room (UK) and liked how they looked. I was on and off retracting ranging from a few days to a month at a time. I researched into getting circumcised in my 20s. I booked an appointment with a specialist to discuss my options and at that time. As I am from the UK I would have to go private as the NHS would not do it for "free" as it would be classed as cosmetic. At this time I am happy to have my foreskin kept retracted as I can't justify to myself spending the amount of money for removing a portion of skin. I am aware I am paying for time/effort/specialism however to me it wasn't worth the money.

@scotsguy27 How old are you now, mate? Do you think you'll get circumcised in future or stick with being pulled back?

I'm 32 and think for the time being will remain pulled back.

I voted for "Yes - I started pulling back to check if circumcision is right for me", but an option that would more accurately describe my reasoning is this: "Yes - I started pulling back as a stepping stone towards circumcision". Since a very young age when I discovered the difference between circumcised and uncircumcised, and later learned what the act of circumcision was, I have known that I want to be circumcised. Keeping the foreskin pulled back has acted kind of like an intermediate phase for me between being fully covered to eventually being circumcised. My experience is pretty similar to Pelagian's (quoted below) the main difference is that I haven't gotten cut yet.

Absolutely not up for any unnecessary surgery; but having a good sized corona, and bit of a mushroom shaped cock, my foreskin just stays back permanently on its own and I have to literally push it forward, so hence I rarely bother to.

I am permanently retracted and have been for years.  I have been fascinated with circumcision and bare glans for as long as I can remember.

I started pulling back in order to simulate the look and feel of having a circumcised penis.  Partly it was a cheap, easy, and reversible substitute for circumcision.  Partly it was to experience what it would be like to have my glans exposed 24/7 to see if that was something I could tolerate or even enjoy. Partly it was to make the transition easier if I ever did get circumcised by having my glans already well adapted to being always exposed.

I'm still a permanent retractor, because it remains a cheap, easy, and reversible way to keep my glans exposed. But at this point, I don't really take any advantage of the potential reversibility.  I keep my glans exposed all the time and uncover it if it ever gets covered. I don't use my foreskin for masturbation, and neither does my sex partners. So I do keep considering the idea of keeping my glans bared in an even tidier, effortless manner.
