Head lighter in colour
« on: 2016-05-26 18:15:04 »
Hi all.

So I have been pulling back for most of the time for the last week, and I have noticed the head has got lighter in colour. Do you know why this is? And what causes it? Just a bit of information would be appreciated, sorry I'm new to this and not an expert!

The pictures are of a week ago and now.

Thanks guys!

From my pont of view
Maybe its occur from glans dehydrated
Your glans was exposed all the time
Try to roll your foreskin back to normal
And see whats happen next.

Keratinization? I've read that your glans' color will eventually get closer to your skin due to it instead of the initial pink/red color from long time exposure.

Probably a combination of keratinization (compare the inside of your lips to the outside - the outside is a lot duller) and lack of irritation.

Oh okay thanks guys. I've also noticed the inner foreskin is a lot lighter now too. It's now pretty much the same colour as the rest of my skin, rather than being pink, which I prefer the look of!

I think this is typical of prolonged exposure, as the mucous membrane that forms your glans is gaining an outer layer of skin-like keratin in order to endure the elements that it would previously expect to be protected from by your foreskin. Colour change is a typical effect and sign of keratinisation.

It is indeed a result of exposure and drying out. Guys who expose their glans regularly, even if not permanently (e.g., washing, peeing, during sex, etc, and those whose foreskins pull back fully on erection) tend to have pinker ones than those who hardly ever do so, which remain purple or red. The change always happens to circumcised men, whatever age they are circumcised.
Pulled back for about 20 years, circumcised in 2013. Real men have bare helmets!!!

Have you experienced any swelling (foreskin)?

Oh okay that makes sense, thank you. I have always pulled it back for them things. I thought most guys pulled it back for sex? I guess it's personal preference.

No I haven't thankfully. I think that would freak me out a little lol. Probably have to leave it back longer than I do? I leave it back for around 8-12hrs around 4-5 days a week. I haven't been able to the last couple of weeks though cos of being busy.

If you were going to have swelling from this, I think it would likely have happened after 8-12 hours. So you should be fine.

As the longer you pull it back, the more the colour will get lighter, it gone really quick if you have only be doing this for a few weeks
Love skining back and letting my head show
