can the foreskin shrink????

are there men here for whom the foreskin has shrunk over time, that it has remained behind the glans by itself. or has anyone had any experience with ointments that the skin becomes tighter and thus shorter. i know that the question can be a bit naive, but it is worth a try. those who have bared the glans before puberty might be at an advantage.

Yes, those who have pulled back before puberty are at a much happier place for permanent retraction. Like those who were circumcised as babies or kids, adolescent retractors interrupt the growth of their prepuce. So, just like young circumcisions have less of a need for recircumcision due to stretching (which the adult circumcised often seek), since the baby's original skin was cropped early on, so young "puller backers" basically have stunted foreskins which never get long enough to roll down. Lucky ducks!

That being said, as an adult retractor of one full year, if you soldier through the first six-nine months of pulling back you'll stay bare-headed for good.

I am not sure, however I have been pulled back for several months and now when erect my foreskin will roll back fully if left forward. Previously I was covered fully when hard.

i have the skin retracted since 1994 . means 28 years . and my foreskin did not get shorter... i still use the spoon method

no it doesn't, i was reading about the japanese, who like to be pulled back, but they have an ingenious method of circumcision that hides it and looks like they are pulled back.

I know that mine shrinks temporarily when I stay retracted for long periods. My foreskin covers the glans when pulled forward but when retracted for a while then pulled forward it only covers half of the glans until it goes back to normal.

I think it definitely can and has done so in my case. I appreciate not everyone's experience will be the same as mine but I hope the following is of interest.

I am now 56. I started retracting at the age of 12 and have been pretty much retracted since then apart from a few years in my twenties. I have been 100% retracted for the last 30 years. Moreover, I have literally not let my foreskin go forward for the last six or seven years now, and so it would be difficult to give an accurate picture of the shrinkage. Retracted is now the "natural" default position for my body. The last time it was forward, I would estimate 50% coverage when soft; 30% when erect.

I also tore my frenulum when I was twelve which I now appreciate has helped enormously. I now have no discernible frenulum. My glans and inner foreskin (especially) are very sensitive sexually but not sensitive when unaroused. My glans has almost no keratinisation, which is wonderful, and remains velvety soft. Moreover, I think my glans has enlarged and flared slightly in the last thirty years.

Ninety nine percent of the time, my foreskin is simply rolled back and stays in position without any problems. Very occasionally, for a change, I tuck the foreskin behind the head: I use my fingers, no need for a spoon, etc.

My (female) partner of over thirty years is completely cool about all this and delighted about all this.

I used to wish I had been circumcised as a boy, but now I am glad that I wasn't. My inner foreskin is super sensitive and source of much pleasure. I do, from time to time, ponder the possibility of perhaps a very careful high, tight circumcision preserving all the inner foreskin. And I don't rule it out, but this would require a very, very competent surgeon...
