I've also noticed that with aging and maybe because of long-term depletion of blood supply to the foreskin while being permanently retracted can lead to the loss of collagen in foreskin which can shrink its length a bit. In my twenties my foreskin fully covered my glans; now the tip is always wide open when covered.

I agree re the alcohol. The warm sensation is really nice and it really does dry up the inner foreskin
