Just what the title asked. I’m not sure how likely my generation is to adopt this as a widespread thing, but I’m curious on how you folks think about it.

I've been retracted for 25 years plus and have seen quite a few on beaches and naturist clubs, but not really chatted about it.

Like lots of others, I thought I was the only one to keep my foreskin retracted when I started - I never came across anyone else who did so deliberately (though my best mate at school had one that was so short it was retracted all the time). I wrote to the medical column in one of the gay porn mags (Zipper, I think) in 1992 to ask if there was any way to help it stay back, and a few guys replied saying they did so, or would like to, and one gave details of a method of taping which he had invented. I also have a collection of pages removed from other mags from the 1980s and 1990s of guys with retracted skins - it's usually pretty clear if they do so permanently and haven't just pulled back for the photo shoot. (I often wonder where they are now, 30-odd years down the line!)

Then the internet came along. I forget quite how I started searching for the topic, but I got several hits, and then set up the old Yahoo group - skinback? - which had loads of members, and was very active. What with that and now this group, there has been something to find when making a search, so perhaps it is becoming more common - or perhaps it's not, but it's just that retractors are more aware of each other.
Pulled back for about 20 years, circumcised in 2013. Real men have bare helmets!!!

I started when i was young, i didn't know of any one who liked to keep there skin back. There where a few cut guys to show me what the look should look like. Later on i only found one person on the net, that could keep back his skin, but when erect it looked cut. Now with the internet there are sites like these and other where people talk about it and you find its others that do it but not sure how popular this is though.
Love skining back and letting my head show

I started when I was in secondary school. I liked the feel of it but the foreskin would roll back over the head quite quickly. In my early 20s I stumbled on a naturist beach here in UK and decided to join in and stripped off. A guy came over to chat to me. His glans was uncovered and I assumed he was cut. During the conversation the foreskin slipped back over. He just reached down retracted it again and carried on the conversation. My interest in skinning back was renewed and I started  keeping the skin back much more often.
Forward a couple of years and I started going to the local swimming baths. It had a ‘Turkish baths’ attached, dating from Victorian times. There were hot rooms, sauna and later steam room. Certain days were men only and almost everyone was naked. I noticed quite a few guys would retract their foreskin and it gave me the confidence to go public with my glans exposed. I’ve kept my foreskin back most of the time since.
Over the past 30 years I’ve been lucky to visit naturist beaches all over Europe, Australia and a couple in North America. I would say skinning back is in a minority but still common in Europe. I have noticed that some men retract once they see others with the head on show, either retracted or circumcised. In Australia and US/Canada most were cut and some uncut and covered. Fewer retracted (though a few I assumed were cut may have been).

I'm guessing that as circumcision rates fall, pulling back will become more common since there will be more uncut guys who enjoy the bare head feeling or look, but they either can't or don't want to get cut.

I think its gradually picking up followers in Scotland and the UK. I know that my younger cousin, one of my friends and at least 2 of my work colleagues are pulled back.

My younger cousin was introduced to it after seeing myself whilst sharing a room on a family trip.

My friend after they tore their frenulum and was waiting on it getting fixed.

The first work colleague I discovered whilst on my works residential training. He was taking off his boxers and he was already pulled back. He was pulled back when showering and when getting dressed he was still pulled back. Hence I think he pulls back.

The second work colleague was locker room at work, he was pulled back when he was walking about.

I think the younger generation (I’m 31 lol), are maybe exploring their options too. Most of my observations when in a public setting are in locker room/shower situations so wether that has an impact may come into it. I’ve seen young guys in their early 20s pulled back when going to and from and in the shower and they occasionally just keep their foreskins back when drying and putting boxers on.
